Better Buildings Performance Program

About the Energy Alliance Commercial Program

The Energy Alliance promotes energy efficiency projects in the Greater Cincinnati region. We manage and help program participants finance their energy efficiency projects. After construction, we educate building occupants on ways to reduce their energy consumption in the workplace and offer ongoing energy usage tracking.

Commercial Energy Efficiency

Commercial buildings in Cincinnati and Northern Kentucky can save energy and lower their monthly utility costs by participating in the Energy Alliance Better Buildings Performance Program.

Primarily focused on nonprofit rehabilitation projects, the program helps building owners identify ways to become more energy efficient and implement the most cost-saving measures.

Local Impact To Date:

  • 44 commercial energy audits completed
  • 38 commercial building retrofits completed
  • $19.2+ million invested in energy improvement projects

How to Save Energy

Participants in the Better Buildings Performance Program will need an energy audit. Once complete, the energy audit is used to evaluate projects and to determine what measures will provide the highest energy savings for the least cost.

You may already know that your building requires a costly upgrade – say a new energy efficient boiler or updated lighting. The Energy Alliance may provide a financing solution.
