The Greater Cincinnati Energy Alliance believes that energy efficiency not only contributes to savings for building owners, it has the ability to create a 21st century workforce in the Greater Cincinnati area. We are actively working to both develop and expand upon a qualified contractor base to supply energy efficiency services and stimulate regional demand through strategic community outreach and marketing efforts. As a Home Performance with Energy Star provider, contractors benefit from participating in a nationally recognized program that provides a whole house approach to home energy improvements.
Our mission of saving energy is not complete unless it involves the creation and retention of green jobs in our region. The Energy Alliance has creatively brought together funding and expertise to help stimulate the burgeoning energy efficiency economy. Through strategic partnerships with educational institutions, local government, non-profits, and energy professionals, we are committed to developing programs that will allow workers to become skilled in trades related to advanced energy and efficiency services.
"Thanks to the Greater Cincinnati Energy Alliance program in 2010 we doubled our business and were able to go from a single energy consultant and installer to two full time consultants and a crew of three installers. In 2011 we look to add at least one more consultant and another full installer crew. We are also considering staffing a full time sales associate." - Jeremy Begley, Cincinnati Energy Solutions
The Greater Cincinnati Energy Alliance is reducing the barriers to investing in energy efficiency improvements for both home owners and organizations. Through education, qualifying contracting services, and connecting building owners to financial incentives, Greater Cincinnati residents can more easily and affordably invest in these building improvements, creating demand for home performance and commercial contracting services.
