Contractors and Installers List

Home Performance Contractors and Installers must complete an application process designed to ensure that they possess the qualifications necessary to provide homeowners with assistance throughout the Home performance with Energy Star program. For more information on how to become a Home Performance Contractor or Installer in the Home Performance with Energy Star program, fill out the Contractor Inquiry Form. 

Homeowners can sign-up for a home energy assessment through the Energy Alliance website or by contacting a Home Performance Contractor directly. If a homeowner would like to work with a specific Installer, then the homeowner can contact the Installer directly. The Installer can refer the homeowner to a partnering Home Performance Contractor to conduct the assessment.

  • Employs a certified Building Performance Institute Building Analyst
  • Performs home energy assessments
  • Develops a recommended scope of work for your upgrade project
  • May install some of the energy efficiency upgrades for which they are properly licensed and certified
  • Performs a test-out at the end of the upgrade process
  • Offers GC-HELP financing and 35% cash incentive
  • Does not conduct home energy assessments
  • Refers homeowners to a partnering Home Performance Contractor who can perform a home energy assessment
  • Installs the energy efficiency upgrades for which they are properly licensed and certified
