Low Income Providers

The Greater Cincinnati Energy Alliance provides energy improvement services to all residents of Hamilton, Boone, Kenton, and Campbell counties, regardless of income. However, low-income households in our community can receive direct assistance with weatherization grants and service from the organizations listed below.

People Working Cooperatively

People Working Cooperatively works with low-income, elderly, and disabled residents in Ohio, Kentucky, and Indiana, to provide weatherization services to qualifying low-income households. To qualify for weatherization services, residents will need to heat with natural gas or electric through Duke Energy and have a bill in the household member's name. Both homeowners or renters may qualify for PWC's services.  Their professionally trained staff, along with thousands of volunteers, also help Ohio residents with critical home repairs, mobility modifications, and maintenance services.

Cincinnati-Hamilton County Community Action Agency

Qualifying low-income households in Hamilton County can apply for home weatherization assistance at no cost through the Cincinnati-Hamilton County Community Action Agency.  The Home Weatherization Assistance Program provides home weatherproofing and energy efficiency services that can result in a savings of 30% or more on energy bills. The CHC Community Action Agency also provides utility bill assistance for those that qualify.

Northern Kentucky Community Action Commission

Low-income families that apply for the program can receive up to $6,500 of weatherization work on their homes. The Northern Kentucky Community Action Commission also provides energy assistance to help families and individuals manage their heating bills and other social services.
