When I learned that GCEA would give my house a complete energy assessment at very low cost it was a no-brainer to say yes. The assessor who came to my house was very professional and thorough. |

The City is very fortunate to be able to partner with the Greater Cincinnati Energy Alliance. The combination of their resources with those from our Environmental Awareness Program will allow our residents to identify and make energy efficiency improvements to their homes which will benefit them for many years. Participants in the program will enjoy greater comfort while reducing their energy costs. |

My sincere thanks to the Greater Cincinnati Energy Alliance (GCEA) and Forest Park Environment Awareness groups for the programs offered to residents to aide in helping them make their home more energy efficient. The air sealing and insulation of my home was the single most improvement achieved; there was a 31% improvement in air sealing and my insulation went from R2 to R60 which equated to a 1000% comfort improvement to me. I also took advantage of improving my heating and cooling system with the installation of a HVAC (Westinghouse) unit. With all the improvements my thermostat is now set at 75 degrees which keep my home comfortable on both floors. A non-tangible advantage of the programs was my personal comfort that the vendors were pre-qualified to do the work and knew they were being monitored and did the work correctly. Mike Robinson (GCEA) was on top of every issue to assure I (the consumer) was happy with the work being performed. The before installation and after installation metrics was priceless…and again thanks to everyone. To Forest Park Environment Awareness thanks for partnering with the GCEA and bringing this assistance (the additional 15%) to the residents…… |
